INTRODUCTION The most significant uniqueness in human nature is that it is the only species which is very wise while simultaneously very ignorant and it is the only rational being in this Universe. Humanity is in real trouble in its evolution with all its artificial short time gain euphoria. We, humanity, believe we know all our survival factors in this Universe and at the same time believe only in the selfish, comfortable and greedy survival of ourselves . We have exploited for ages natural resources and now have reached a point of no return… any new terminal disease could be really fatal for us. From time immemorial, the basic interest in human health has remained the same; the ancient medicine man used to find out the extent of health hazards from the condition of the individual’s digestive system. And even now the body’s most vulnerable point is its digestive system. We do not bother to spend our energy to keep our stomach in order but instead we spent most of our knowledge and energy in filling it greedily. We have so far decidedly overlooked that if the stomach is fit then everything is fit. No complication could touch the body if the digestive system of the body is in perfect order. There are so many ancient provisions in the daily intake of only greens to keep man’s body naturally disease resistant. If we could only believe in the ancient scriptures that mentions indivisuals to have lived hundreds even thousands of years. But those literatures are hardly read by us as they lack the artificially thrilling materials. So we have moved far away from Mother Nature and lost the key to eternal youth somewhere… we who so wisely believe and advise ourselves with much emotion that, ‘ See nothing is permanent, everything is temporary and fleeting and so on so forth’. But why does it never comes into our being that disease, old age and death are rigid situations for us? They are also reversible. We, modern mankind believe that somewhere in the snowy peaks of Himalaya still roams the ‘Snow Man’ defying old age and death, but do not believe that we ourselves could do it. Page - 15 There must be some methods and processes to change the rigid course of disease, old age and death into the flexible ones of disease-free, eternal youth and immortality. First we should try and break this rigidness nurtured so long in ourselfs to continue. But it is not possible with the present day artificial intake into the body’s system. We should try to make and become one with Mother Nature to find the key to our forever-living secrets. On my trips to the remote villages and tribal areas, I have come across many different indigenous food and healing habits. Unlike the urban folks, the rural rustic folks have many different ways to prevent diseases and fast ageing processes through their daily diet. The urban folks are addicted to many different artificially preserved food materials easily available and they do not bother about body complications because money, medicine stores and hospitals are near at hand. But it is very important for the tribals and very remote village populace that they remain disease free, because they have no easy reach to modern health systems. But now, after many years of discriminating attitude the urban population is trying to learn the natural way of living and to keep itself healthy through the tribal hereditary pool of wisdoms. The tribal and interior village people of India consume in their daily diet at least 30-35 different types of leaves, flowers and young buds of weeds to keep them disease free, tension free and stress free. My purpose is to find out through a natural way of living, how to achieve eternal youth first and than live forever. This is the true aspiration of every human being inspite of all the surface complications of habit oriented living. Humanity has been suffering a little too long from the pain and agony of repeated birth, disease and death and enough is enough. Disease, old age and death couldn’t have their torturing right on humanity permanently, we will have to face them squarely and ask them to let go of us. For that, we have to change our perception of living principles. We have to live with all, everybody and everything. Page - 16 We have to recognize the existence of all around us and create an atmosphere of harmony. We have to find ingredients for living from nature (wild species). Only Nature has the capacity to maintain our physical, vital and mental health with perfect harmony and balance. I am presenting here before the learned and critical humankind my words of little knowledge with humility. I feel I must do this as my individual contribution to the species I belong to. To many of my urban friends queries, ‘that satying in the town how could they practice this type of life even if they want to do something like this’. I told them, in your house, in the town, all of you have a few pots of flowering plants of your choice, from which you remove small wild plants, called weeds, thinking they were burdens, you could simply let them grow along with your choicest plants and could use their leaves, flowers and stems in your daily green diets as well as remedies for simple and common ailments. And you could grow greens of many different types in pots on your terrace and use them instead of depending only on a few types available in the market. But their opinion is that I should write a book, explaining all these, which could be really helpful. It is not possible to explain to every interested individual always in person. So this attempt at publishing a book, is very important and vital so that we conserve the wild species, the weeds. Weeds are the natural ground covers and the only promoters of ground ecology. No small insects, reptiles and other numerous small mammals, small and big bird survive without the world of weeds. Without surface ecology the soil will be dead and then the unending process of destruction continues. “Could we believe that every individual, there exists a garden , if so let us spread those inner garden fragrances everywhere by practicing preserving and conserving Nature”.
